A friendly climbing session at the sport climbing Altnadue quarry at Castlewellen. Feel free to come even if you don’t really have a climbing partner. There will be a few of the committee members about to chat to and climb with.

No need to lead climb but some basic rope climbing equipment (harness, belay plate, helmet) and confident belaying skills are essential. You may also bring a rope, quickdraws and slings if you have them. Information about the routes can be found on the UKC: https://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crags/altnadue_quarry-17837#photos. There is a small carpark beside the quarry.

No need to sign up, just turn up on Friday at 7pm (we will collect contact details for contact-tracing purposes on the day).

This is a great opportunity to meet some new climbing partners and make up (at least a little bit) for the lost climbing sessions in Ozone.
